River Thames

Hampton Court Palace

This place was almost like the English equivalent of Versailles, but smaller, less ornate and built practically of bricks (the English do love their bricks). It’s about an hour away from London by train.

They had lots of fake, plastic pot pies on display which made me hungry. And then there were wandering folks dressed in period costumes. Pretty spiffy. I ran into a young King Henry VIII and late 1700’s fella in frills and long, curly hair. Both were like ten feet tall… Or maybe I was just too short. But anyways, it was still a nice getaway from the city. Just a shame it was very overcast that day, like always.
