We had an entire L car to ourselves on our way to Old Town, Chicago.
You know what that called for.
We originally came for an improv show at 2nd City, but with plenty of time to spare, we wandered off to the nearby Lincoln Park. That’s where these impromptu shots came in.
Being a tiny person and lugging around a hot-pink bag loaded with 25 pounds of camera equipment then wandering about on foot for hours in a major urban area while being on a constant lookout for possible thieves, I can’t really classify these as vacation anymore, but it is what it is.
For this trip, however, I had a friend who was kind (and confident) enough to carry around my giant camera bag in all its 80’s hot-pink glory. Thanks for that, homeboy.
